This 2007 Triumph Bonneville belongs to my friend Rob Sharp.
It is one of the last of the 790cc parallel twins before Triumph increased the engine size to 865cc.
Rob bought the Triumph from Windy Corner in Barwell, near Hinckley where the motorcycle was
Before Rob took the bike on the road, he had it fitted with wider than standard handlebars. The fuel
tank and mudguards were painted in the hifi scarlet and silver colour scheme of a 1969 US export model
The crankcase of this particular model is finished in aluminium, while the outer engine casings are in a satin
Later models have black crankcases and black or chrome outer casings.
The 790cc machines featured twin carburetors, however the later 865cc models have fuel injection.
The Hinckley Triumph Bonneville is a modern day classic that will one day join the earlier Meridan Triumphs in
the history books.
